ODAC orientation camp 2006

this is gonna be a long and whiny post, so bear with me.
haha, i dunno what got into me, but i signed up for the odac camp.
i think underestimated the camp.
i thought it was gonna be kayaking or rockclimbing stuff.
i was so wrong.
as early as 8 in the morning, we were carrying heavy and bulky bags, walking out of the school.
i was like, fine, so we're taking a bus there.
but the people ahead dint stop.
then i realised, man, we're WALKING there.
if you guys think walking is no big deal, try walking all the way from nyjc to yishun.
i think its a 100 km lorr.
my legs were rotting away.
i think i could feel my blood cells disintegrating.
(okay, not that serious la)
but it was really super tiring!
a thousand times more worse than running 2.4.
furthermore, it was blazing hot.
walau eh.

but when night time fell, it was THE BEST TIME OF THE ODAC CAMP.
we all used mass tins to cook.
but mind you, the fire is damn hard to control.
our fire was not even lukewarm but the smoke was non stop.
i think we're accidentally sending off smoke signals.
people were choking and even tearing.
i'm serious.
but then alan the great fire breather came and we finnaly got to cook.
i tell ya, our food was awesome.
HAHA.although the process was too gross.
bronston used his bare hand sto marinate the chicken with soy sauce and chilli.
the raw meat was just mushy and bloody and god knows what.
it was just GROSS.
but when we stir fried it.. the taste was heavenly. hahah.
but our macoroni sucked big time.

after the whole cooking, everyone just gobbled down everything.
we had to finish every bit of food.
so everyone was practically shoving uncooked food down their throats and complaining taht they wanted to shit.
teh problem is, the more you think of shitting, the more likely you will shit.

it was soon dark and we played the trust fall.
it was damn scary cos you had to climb up this tall boulder and fall into your team's arms face up.
i was shaking.
but then, it was a game of trust.
i had faith in my team.
then i fell backwards and landed safely into their arms.
YAY!
hahaha.
some people fell on theor butts and some did nice ones.
but when it was victors turn someone started singing the song' shou fang kai' aka let go off your hands. walau.
it was so funny.
haha.

the night trek was scary.
cos i'm timid. LOL.
we had to follow a route in the jungle all alone leh! and we cuden shine our torches.
but it was fine, and i laughed at myself for being so silly.
HAHA.

yeah, odac is damn hiong.
but the best thing is, i've grown tougher and stronger.
that's what matters, isnt it?

but seriously, i think i am paralysed waist down.
